Over 200 Washington school buses are running on propane. Schools save money by reduced costs of overall maintenance (fluids, filters), repairs, and fuel while keeping students safe.

Durham Bus Services

Durham Bus Services provides buses for Spokane Public Schools, adding 54 propane powered buses early last month. Durham now runs 70 propane powered buses in their fleet.

General manager, Santos Picacio, is proud to have Durham doing their part in Washington’s statewide eco-friendly initiative.

“We’re proud to help that along, and we’re proud to cut down on all the
particulates in the air. It’s a safer foot print.”

– Santos Picacio, General Manager

Durham bus services plans to have 25 percent of its fleet powered by propane by the 2020 school year, which will be the largest roll out of propane powered buses in the Inland Northwest.
